A NEW physiotherapy centre will be built in Westhoughton after plans were given the go-ahead.

The proposal is to build a two-storey building on land at the rear of 222 Church Street, as well as parking, landscaping and a 2m-high security fence.

The premises would be run by Cosgroves Physiotherapy, which is currently based in Chorley Road.

A statement submitted with the application said: “The site is in a sustainably location and the proposed building would not detract from the surrounding area. Adequate parking will still be maintained on site.”
