During the winter months a gang of young men came onto our estate to fell the overgrown trees. They worked hard in bad and unpleasant weather - good lads. Then, along came other workmen digging out the roots, levelling the pavements, hard workers all of them. Then the ashfelt men and kerbers, last of all new trees planted - lovely.
Did I say last of all - silly me.

On Saturday, May 3, along came Mr Big and snapped one of the trees in half. I'm sure if you asked you could get a job with the tree men, it would make their jobs easier with your brains and strength.
