Why did Farnworth people not vote?

I FIND it hard to believe that only 25.5 per cent of the Farnworth public bothered to turn out at the local election to vote for a new councillor.

That is 8,107 people who did not vote, and I would like to say to every one of them, don't you dare complain when this council does something you don't like, because by not voting you have in fact put these people in office.
