Man hit by train

EMERGENCY services were called to Walkden train station after a man was hit by a train at 6pm last night.
The man, said to be in his 30s, was taken to the Salford Royal Hospital with head and hand injuries.
His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
