IN her sparkly costume and her skates tightly laced on, little Hollie Asquith glides like a dream.
The two-year-old tot started skating lessons just three months ago.
But she has gone from strength to strength and has already secured her first award - the Artistic Roller Skating Grade One.
Nina Asquith, Hollie's mother and a coach at the Bolton Artistic Roller Skating Club which she attends, said: "If Hollie continues the way she is, it will take her just two years to gain all nine grades.
"We let Hollie skate indoors and she has discovered that her skates give her extra height so she can reach things that she wouldn't normally reach - such as the chocolates on top of the fridge."
To pass her grade one badge, Holly had to complete three challenges.
The first was to skate across the rink unaided. The second was to stop unaided without using the wall. The third was to skate, bend down, touch her toes and stand up without falling over.
Mrs Asquith, a mother-of-two, from Horwich has more than 20 years experience in the skating rink.
And the passion for roller skating runs through the family - her eldest daughter, 18-year-old Hannah, was Cup of Europe Dance Champion for three consecutive years, With one badge under her boots, Hollie is now heading for Grade Two, which tests the skater's ability to balance on one foot.
The club meets at Hayward School Leisure Centre, Slack Fold Lane, Morris Green every Saturday, from 10am to noon.
