DOUGIE Freedman is keeping his cool ahead of this weekend’s trip to Crystal Palace.
After all the emotion that followed Stuart Holden and Josh Vela’s playing return, the enthralling 2-0 win over Sunderland in the FA Cup and the second anniversary of Nat Lofthouse’s passing, the Wanderers boss had urged players and fans alike to stay focused.
“I don’t really react to wins or losses,” he said. “I know a lot of people doubted me, and a lot of outside influences had their say as well.
“But I feel confident this team, if they can get rid of the hangover of last year and just stick to playing football, can give anyone a really good game.
“Against Sunderland it wasn’t only the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes. We deserved to win and controlled it for the most part. I’m pleased with that and results will come if we get all that right.”
