1:20pm Saturday 19th January 2013 in Sport By Marc Iles
This live event has finished
4:55pm
All over. 0-0. Some very good defending. Match report up soon.
4:48pm
Zaha curls an effort just wide. Phew.
4:45pm
Craig Davies on for Pratley and David Ngog on for SKD
4:39pm
Zaha just got the better of Spearing and Alonso. He's been superb in the second half.
4:35pm
Andrews hits a bobbling effort, Speroni grabs it at the second attempt.
4:33pm
Zaha beats Alonso for strength, pulls a cross in for Murray but he skews it wide. Another one goes begging for Palace.
4:32pm
Andrews clips a ball in for Davies, but he can't get enough on header.
4:30pm
Chungy lays off to Alonso who drives a shot just wide. Got a deflection.
4:28pm
Palace well on top now. Ream just made a superb challenge on Murray after the Eagles put another dangerous ball in the box.
4:27pm
Zaha goes sprawling on near touchline after challenge by Andrews, who is on a yellow. More leniency from the ref?
4:26pm
What a let off that was. Bogdan was beaten by both shots.
4:24pm
Zaha hits the near post with a right-footed shot. Moritz follows up from the angle but with the goal begging, puts his shot wide of the far post.
4:23pm
@MarcIles Eagles will either win or cost us the game today #bwfc #involvedineverything

4:23pm
Pratley goes down under pressure from Ramage. Asks for a penalty but referee says no.
4:18pm
Chungy does well to hook cross in from right, Davies misses it by inches. Eagles picks ball up and slashes a shot just wide.
4:17pm
Ref plays on as Alonso pulls on Zaha shirt. First time he's really got beyond the Spaniard.
4:14pm
Pratley booked for a foul on Jedanik
4:13pm
Weather going wild here. Looks like snow drifts coming in on half of the pitch. Think it's coming off the top of the stands.
4:11pm
Eagles has another pot shot after strong work from Pratley. Off target though.
4:10pm
Andrews lofts the ball through for Pratley but Speroni rushes to the edge of his box to clear the danger.
4:06pm
Second half underway.
4:05pm
They've been a friendly bunch at Palace - but they have served the worst smelling soup I have ever experienced today.
4:04pm
Battled back through the crowds to take my place in the press box. Players just coming out on to the pitch now.
3:49pm
Skimming shot from Eagles on the half volley. Easily gathered by Speroni. And that brings the half to a close. Tight, tense and level...
3:47pm
Two mins added time. Then I can get a warm brew...
3:46pm
Knight just dumped Zaha in the snow.
3:44pm
Described Spearing as Wanderers' consistent player in a piece I did with the programme. Kiss of death. He's had a mare so far...
3:43pm
Eagles' shot deflected over the top. It was a great ball from Davies to play in Chungy. Eagles should have pulled the trigger quicker, but Delaney got back on him to get a touch.
3:42pm
Palace goal disallowed for offside. Think it was Murray that turned it in after Bolasie had brought a good save out of Bogdan.
3:40pm
Andrews booked foul on Zaha
3:39pm
Palace fans turning on the referee. Eagles definitely winding them up... but think he's on his last chance!
3:37pm
That isn't the case in the press box, where it is minus 10
3:37pm
Didn't have a great view of the handball from here. Things certainly getting heated out there now!
3:34pm
Pen appeal turned down for Palace. Moxey cross blocked by Mears. Eagles raced away down wing and was chopped down by Moxey. He reacted badly – Moxey got booked but was Eagles lucky not to get a second yellow?
3:31pm
Eagles and Mears combined on right, and the cross was headed just wide by Pratley. Really big chance there for Wanderers.
3:29pm
Very chess-like so far. As I say that a mistake from Knight gives away a corner!
3:26pm
Mears does well to stifle Zaha's effort. First time the winger has really driven into the box.
3:25pm
Best build-up so far I think. Pratley and Davies involved.
3:24pm
Eagles brings a save out of Speroni with a curling shot.
3:22pm
Eagles booked for diving. Had a point.
3:21pm
Eagles' shot 15 seconds in is the only chance either side have managed so far. Chungy working really hard in early stages.
3:19pm
Pitch won't suit either side at this rate. Really seems to be firming up, perhaps substantiating Freedman's decision not to play Holden.
3:16pm
Slip from Alonso lets Bolasie in, but the full-back recovers to block his cross.
3:14pm
Chung-Yong working very hard against the ball so far. Doubling up on Zaha.
3:11pm
Butterfield playing in a much deeper role than he had at Wanderers.
3:09pm
First trick from Zaha. Palace starting to string a few passes together.
3:07pm
Bolasie has his first run at Alonso and wins a corner.
3:05pm
Bright start from Wanderers. Pitch looks like it might be an issue later on because the ball is bobbling around already...
3:04pm
Pitch does look bobbly.
3:02pm
Within 15 seconds, Eagles blasts a shot inches wide from 20 yards.
3:01pm
And we're off...
3:00pm
Forgot about Butterfield. Interesting to see how long he lasts...
2:59pm
Applause for Freedman.
2:58pm
Dave Clark Five...
2:56pm
Okay, thoughts back on the game. Freedman and the players due out soon. All eyes (or ears) on him...
2:56pm
@MarcIles I'd like to see Eaves given a chance, even with our apparent plethora of strikers.
— @robdawson15 19 January 2013
2:50pm
@MarcIles What about Blakeman?? has always impressed me when I have watched the development squad but no one seems to talk about him..
— @jcook95 19 January 2013
2:49pm
Cheerleaders are out at Crystal Palace. Rather them than me, that's all I'll say.
2:45pm
Can easily see Josh Vela playing every week, but aside from Joe Riley - who I would like to see given a chance if I'm honest - are there other young players who are match ready??
2:44pm
His statement that two or three young players will be in his first team by the end of the season is a bold one too.
2:44pm
As a few have pointed out on Twitter to me, the manager may have to throw a few of these lads in before getting too embroiled in this kind of thing.
2:39pm
Looks like the manager wants his philosophy preached from top to bottom. Some strong words.
2:38pm
Our back page this morning was an interesting one, even if I do say so myself...

2:34pm
So, some strong opinions on the line-up. I couldn't print a lot of them, we are a family website/newspaper after all.
2:27pm
@MarcIles I think Holden's first game will be at home to give it a sense of occasion & galvanise the fans & players
— @njcoleman79 19 January 2013
2:26pm
Four strikers on the bench. Squad certainly looking top heavy at the moment.

Sobering though for the day. Even 14 wins from final 19 will give us just 75 points, barely enough for top six. Draws are no good, do or die from today.
2:25pm
@MarcIles can't believe all the strikers on the bench, hope we don't get any defensive inj. What does Marv have to do to get a run in team?
— @trottersforever 19 January 2013
2:25pm
Have heard that there were boos for Freedman when he stepped off the team bus. Football banter or not, I hope it doesn't get too silly today.
2:22pm
@MarcIles we're playing devils advocate not playing a striker with 4 in 3 starts against a well drilled palace team Marc #thewisdomofdoug
— @gazbwfc82 19 January 2013
2:21pm
@MarcIles Poor selection all around IMO. Don't try fix something that works.
— @mini0mk 19 January 2013
2:20pm
@CMerrillsBWFC @MarcIles KD has to be tactical. Got to think Dougie should know what he's up against today
— @AnthonyL80 19 January 2013
2:19pm
@MarcIles Really surprised with today's starting 11, Lonergan should be given a chance after Tuesday?
— @Pwoody21 19 January 2013
2:19pm
Lots of reaction about the team picked today. No Holden - although I hope his absence is more to do with a testing pitch than anything else.
2:08pm

2:04pm
Back again. Nice chat with the Palace radio station.
1:37pm
I'm going off-line for a brief moment to do something with the club radio station. Expect plenty of 'Dougie returns' questions...
1:34pm
I've just been told the pitch is on the 'firm side' - so a sudden drop in temperature won't do anyone any good. Staff putting out the cones and markers as we speak.
1:31pm
Roads around the ground were a bit slippy, so I'll be watching my step on the way back to Norwood Junction this evening, hopefully with three points secured.
1:30pm
Credit to the groundstaff because the pitch looks fine.... At least I think it does... The view ain't great.

1:21pm
Good afternoon folks. It's chilly here at Selhurst Park and there's a few wisps of snow in the air but unless there is a sudden downpour the officials assure me that the game is ON.
