WANDERERS have announced a new club badge – which will feature the much-anticipated return of the Lancashire red rose.
After weeks of speculation over a change in crest, the cat was finally let out of the bag today after the new club kit was revealed.
It marks a return to a similar design used by the club between the mid-1970s and the turn of the millennium.
The previous “ribbon style” emblem was adopted a few years after moving into the Reebok Stadium and will remain, for now, as the official stadium crest.
The new design also incorporates the year 1877 – when the club changed their name from Christ Church FC to Bolton Wanderers.
