WOLVES have opened talks with Wanderers over a deal for full-back Sam Ricketts.
Molineux boss Kenny Jackett is looking to bring in an experienced defender and has targeted the 31-year-old Wales international, well known to him during his time at Swansea City.
Dougie Freedman has already recruited two senior full-backs this summer – Alex Baptiste and Marc Tierney – and a young prospect in Hayden White.
He also hopes to add at least one more defender before the transfer deadline.
Ricketts has made 114 appearances since signing from Hull City for £2.2million in 2009.
It is not yet known what fee Wanderers will be demanding for the defender, who signed a new two-year deal last summer as the club dropped into the Championship.
