Nottingham Forest 3 Bolton 0

WANDERERS hit the self-destruct button, stunned by early goals in each half.
Jamie Mackie’s strike after 100 seconds, Andy Reid’s second four minutes after the re-start and Darren Pratley’s dismissal soon after made it a miserable afternoon for Wanderers boss and former Forest striker Dougie Freedman.
Henri Lansbury’s diving header on 65 minutes made it all the more bitter for the travelling army of Wanderers fans.
Bolton were simply not at the races straight from the kick-off, allowing Radoslaw Majewski to thread the ball through to Mackie who beat the off-side trap and fired emphatically past Adam Bogdan.
Wanderers clawed their way back into the game throughout the first half but failed to gel in attack.
Majewski was the provider again crossing for Republic of Ireland international Reid then Pratley who had already been booked for a foul on Adlene Guedioura in the first half was given his marching orders for a late challenge on Forest skipper Chris Cohen.
It was one-way traffic in the second half and no-one can deny that Billy Davies side were worthy winners.
