Danny Watson makes it five wins out of five
Bolton’s Danny Watson made it five wins in five professional fights when he beat Atherton’s William Warburton on Saturday night.
The 31-year-old admitted it had been his toughest fight yet and was delighted to retain his perfect record in the pro ranks.
“It was my toughest opponent yet and I have been full of a cold.
“But it was my fifth pro win and I haven’t lost a round in those five fights.”
Watson, who fights out of Elite Gym, is a welterweight, but fought at light middleweight.
His club-mate at the Halliwell gym, Stevie Taylor from Darwen, also won on the same bill at the De Vere Whites Hotel, Bolton, with a third-round knockout of Paul O’Hagan, of Gateshead, in a cruiserweight bout.
