by Oliver Altuna
It was a crisp autumn morning when Ladybridge welcomed Stretford Victoria to their ground.
The match got off to a good start with both teams playing well.
After 15 minutes Billy Wharmby ran up the wing and tucked the ball into the bottom corner making it 1-0.
Zach Holliday then played a one-two with Wharmby before scoring Ladybridge’s second.
After half-time, captain Oliver Altuna linked up well with Amour who crossed it in for Billy to head in his second goal. Holliday then scored his second with a volley to help to seal the result.
Bromley Cross Juniors Demons U12s 0 St Andrews U12s 1
by Billy Carr
DEMONS continued their losing streak of three games as they lost 1-0 to St Andrews Rockets.
Rockets started the game better than Demons and eventually got a goal after five minutes when Ethan Cummins parried the ball to the feet of a Rockets player who scored.
Demons had chances to level in first half through Ryan Smith who hit the crossbar.
Into the second half Jamie Graham’s pace and creativity caused Rockets problems but they held on.
They managed to stave off a late opportunity when Matthew Beveridge’s pass rolled along the goalmouth, with Bill Carr’s toe not long enough to equalise.

by Sam Cocker
AN unbeaten Eagley went in to the match feeling confident.
FC Strikerz got off to a quick start with a couple of goalscoring opportunities and the first goal came from Eagley’s Joe Wadsworth who placed it in the back of the net.
In the 10th minute, McKenzie Murray did a crafty backheel to get his first goal of the season.
Lewis Ratcliffe scored goal number three after a great pass from Jack Withnell. The fourth came from Murray followed by another goal by Ratcliffe.
Goal six came from Jensen Myerscough. FC Strikerz pulled one back with five minutes to go before Murray finished the game with his hat-trick.
Little Lever U12s 1 Eagley U12s 4
by Pete Webster (Eagley)
As the sun shone over little lever, the first half began and after three petrifying minutes Eagley broke through the defence and Kai Dalhouse smashed the ball at the net to make it 1-0 up to Eagley.
Then throughout the first half a thunderous shower of goals from Tommy Banks, Jack Potter and Josh Hart left the score 4-0 to the boys in yellow but the Tigers kept their heads up and were ready to play the crucial second half.
The Tigers formidable defence stopped Eagley from scoring any more goals all the way through this vital half, which gave the Tigers a chance of hope and they took it with a goal seconds before the exciting match ended.
Bromley Cross Jaguars U9s 2 Westhoughton Rangers 2
by Charlie Stokes (Jaguars)
IT was a slow, evenly-matched game to start. They scored a goal either side of half time.
Daniel Lee scored for us to make it 2-1 after playing the first half in goal, and he also grabbed our last-minute equaliser.
It was a well deserved point apiece.
Bromley Cross Raiders 9 Bury Allstars 0
by Daisy Mullan (Bromley Cross)
THE match was challenging for home team Bury All Stars, as Bromley Cross Raiders fought well to score 9 without conceding.
The All Stars goalkeeper made some great saves in the first half which ended 0 - 1, a goal by the Raiders Alex Wilcox.
Bromley Cross Raiders scored eight goals in the second half after fantastic passing moves ended with clinical finishing from scorers Henry Gargan (three), Matty Holden (two), Josh Balshaw and Cameron Brennan one each (and an unlucky own goal by the All Stars.)
