Sheffield Wednesday boss says the Championship is upside down
THE Championship table is upside down – or at least it could be, claims Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones.
With his own side 22nd in the table and without a win, the Owls arrive to face a Wanderers team in 20th place who have experienced similar problems getting off the mark.
But Jones believes there is little difference between the leaders and the strugglers in a topsy-turvy division – and sees no reason why his side cannot start a run with three points at the Reebok today.
“You could flip the division around and nobody would be surprised,” he said. “It’s a strong division. What we’ve got to do is stay positive, keep going.
“We’re not that far away.
“We think we should be 10 points better off but we’re not, and we’ve got to try to make amends for that.
“Everybody here is working their socks off to make sure we get it right and we propel ourselves up the division and are stabilised in the division and have a shout of fighting to get out of it.”
