CONOR Wilkinson crashed in four goals for the development squad as they humbled a strong Blackpool side 7-2 in the Lancashire Senior Cup yesterday.

The Wanderers striker, pictured right, who was signed from Millwall in the summer, secured a hat-trick inside the first 45 minutes in Lytham and then added a fourth shortly after the break.

Chris Lester scored a fifth before full-back Andy Kellett erased an earlier own goal when he grabbed two at the right end.

Steven Davies got on the scoresheet for Blackpool, who also had first-teamers such as Bobby Grant, Michael Chopra and Nathan Tyson on show.

Victory books Wanderers a tie with holders Manchester United in the quarter-finals.

Basile Camerling, the French striker who had been expected to feature against Blackpool, is also reported to have left the Whites and returned to train with Charlton. Dougie Freedman said at the end of last week he wanted to see the 26-year-old in competitive action before making a decision on his future – but the fact he was nowhere to be seen yesterday afternoon suggests the club have not taken up the option to keep him on.
