WANDERERS (4-1-4-1)

ANDY LONERGAN...8 Kept his side in the game after the slow start with a string of solid saves. Continues to make a fine case to be Reebok’s number one.

KEVIN MCNAUGHTON...7 Mastered the physical threat of O’Grady and Scotland and put in one goal-saving challenge towards the end on his farewell show.

ZAT KNIGHT...7 Came close to scoring with a header but also made some telling contributions at the back on his return to the side.

TIM REAM...6 Also went close with a blinding left-footed effort. Solid enough but didn’t cope quite as well with the big men up front.

ALEX BAPTISTE...6 Another solid show from the makeshift left-back, who must now be a shoo-in to return to the right at Leicester.

JAY SPEARING...6 Found it tough to get involved in the first half but got on the ball more as the game went on. Helped by Davies’s growing influence.

CHRIS EAGLES...7 After last weekend’s exasperating performance, this was a lot more like it in a rare away outing. Looked up for it from the off.

MARK DAVIES...6 Such a welcome sight on the team-sheet but took a while to warm up. Hard to be critical after such a long lay-off.

DARREN PRATLEY...6 Benefitted from being pushed further forward in the second half, linking up much better with Mason and putting himself around.

NEIL DANNS...7 What a way to say goodbye. Wonderful finish and another workmanlike performance for Wanderers. Sign him up!

JOE MASON...6 Found it very tough going in the first half but gradually found his way. Doesn’t look an obvious target man but is giving it a go.

Subs: Chung-Yong 6, 71 (for Pratley) – Gave his side an out ball in the second half Medo 6, 80 (for Eagles) – Went close with a trademark blast at goal late on.

Mills 87 (for Danns) – Came on to shore things up for the Whites.

Not used: Lee-Barrett, Medo, Mills, Beckford, Hall, Moritz.

MAN OF THE MATCH Andy Lonergan Had to be at his best to repel Barnsley in the first half, and thankfully for Wanderers, he was.

His full-length save to deny Jim O'Brien in the first half was the pick of a large bunch.
