WANDERERS have completed the signing of Neil Danns from Leicester City.

Dougie Freedman made the industrious midfielder one of his top targets of the transfer window and it appears he has agreed a deal with the Foxes to loan him until the end of the season.

Danns scored four goals in a three-month loan spell, which started in October and will be eligible for tomorrow’s FA Cup third round encounter with Blackpool.

Danns’ contract at the King Power Stadium is up at the end of the season – after which Wanderers would be in pole position to convert the transfer to a permanent deal.

“He’s done well for us,” he said. “He’s still fit and looks after himself really well.

“He still plays with that hunger and desire, he’s still got it.

“I think he’s been a good addition for us. He’s obviously someone I know but I think the group have taken to him and he’s helped the group.

“I think the fans have really taken to him and seen what he can produce and the fact we have gone out and signed him. I think they’ll be happy.

Danns will not be able to play against Leicester City on April 22 as a part of his loan agreement.
