YOUNG Wanderers striker Tom Eaves has extended his stay at Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of the season.

Eaves, who turns 22 in eight days' time, is in his second spell at Greenhous Meadow after a successful loan with Graham Turner’s side last season.

Since joining Wanderers from Oldham Athletic in August 2010, Eaves has started just one League Cup tie and made three substitute appearances in the league.

He rejoined the Shrews ahead of the loan deadline in November after a less-than fruitful period at Rotherham saw him start just two of nine outings.

His latest spell has seen him score once in six games.

The new loan agreement means he is available for the Shrews’ home League One clash with leaders Leyton Orient tomorrow night.
