AFTER a rain-affected set of fixtures last weekend all three local North West Counties First Division teams will be hoping to return to action tomorrow.

Atherton Collieries sit in fourth place and welcome a struggling Leek CSOB to Alder House.

The home side could move back into a promotion place if both 1874 Northwich and Formby lose their matches against Northwich Flixton Villa and Rochdale Town respectively.

The last time Colls met CSOB was in November at Harrison Park when they recorded a 3-1 win with late goals from Jake Patton and Paul Atherton sealing the three points.

It will be important for Steve Pilling’s men to put in a strong performance as they prepare to face league leaders Nelson away next Saturday.

Goalkeeper Phil Priestley is poised to make his debut for Colls after joining the club last week from Premier Division side AFC Blackpool.

Sixth-placed Atherton LR travel to Staffordshire where they will face an Eccleshall side who find themselves joint bottom of the league with just 10 points.

Second-half goals from Mark Adams and Ben Hardcastle won the match for LR when the teams last went head-to-head at the beginning of August.

The Crilly Park side are currently enjoying a good run of form, having won their last three matches; scoring 11 goals in the process.

Daisy Hill are without a win in 15 matches and are tasked with a tough match at AFC Darwen who are unbeaten in four games.

The Salmoners beat Daisy 4-1 earlier on in the season with Robert Flint scoring the consolation goal for Craig Thomas’ men.

In Evo-Stik Division One North, Radcliffe Borough make the short trip to Ramsbottom United for the second league derby of the season.
