4:55pm

The coverage continues here though as we take you all the way through the post-match press conference

4:54pm

The whole team goes over to the Wanderers fans who have all stayed behind to applaud the team off the pitch

4:54pm

And it's all over here at the Reebok.  What a perfect performance and result from the Wanderers

4:53pm

Rhodes smashes a free-kick from the edge of the area straight at Bogdan

4:51pm

Thunderous effort from the 'present' whose piledriver beats Robinson from all of 30-yards!

4:50pm

And their wish is met by Moritz!!

4:50pm

'We want four' is the chant from the Bolton faithful

4:49pm

There will be a minimum of three minutes added time

4:49pm

Chungy tries to find Moritz in the box but Lowe is there to intercept at the very last

4:47pm

Looks like Moritz is now playing as the lone striker with Mason on the right, Chungy on the left

4:46pm

The final sub for Bolton is Trotter on to replace Jutkiewicz

4:46pm

Gestede has his first chance to run at the Bolton defence which he wastes by smashing the ball high and wide from distance

4:44pm

Gestede heads straight down the throat of Bogdan from Spurr's long throw

4:43pm

Moritz is on for Danns

4:41pm

Ream drives the free-kick straight into the wall, the ball pinballs around in the six-yard box and Mason lashes the ball into the side netting

4:40pm

Spearing to take, five-yards outside the box...

4:39pm

Chungy is caught late by Kane who is given only a warning by the referee

4:39pm

Bogdan catchers Kane's cross easily and releases Danns on the right to mount a swift attack

4:37pm

Conway takes and it evades everyone and goes out for a goalkick

4:37pm

Spearing brings down Spurr 30-yards from goal, free-kick Rovers

4:36pm

Looks like a straight swap with Chungy slotting in on the left

4:36pm

Davies is replaced by Chungy

4:35pm

Jutkiewicz wins a free-kick wide left, Bolton in no need to launch it into the box and play it short to Ream

4:31pm

Kane replaces Kilgallon

4:31pm

Olsson flicks Spurr's long throw wide but it was never really troubling Bogdan

4:29pm

The Wanderers are still asking all the questions as we approach the last 20 minutes

4:29pm

Neat build-up play from Bolton at the edge of the Blackburn penalty area that ends with Baptiste's shot rising over the crossbar

4:26pm

Bolton fans are taunting their opponents now by greeting every pass with 'wayyyyy'

4:25pm

Danns' clever backheel sets Baptiste away down the right but his low cross was cleared by Lowe

4:22pm

17,541 is todays official attendance

4:21pm

Rhodes should have scored as he heads Olsson's cross wide with Bogdan stood helpless

4:19pm

Baptiste picks out a sublime pass to Jutkiewicz down the right who cuts in onto his favoured left-foot but his shot nis deflected and spins out for a throw-in

4:17pm

Jutkiewicz drags a shot just past the post after Danns carried the ball all the way into the box and teed up the front man

4:15pm

The referee makes amends for the bad decision by awarding Knight a free-kick for a 'foul' on him whilst trying to clear the free-kick

4:14pm

Spearing slides in on Henley and wins the ball, the assistant referee flags for a free-kick and now Conway has another chance to deliver from a dangerous position

4:12pm

Spurr lashes a shot wide from distance

4:11pm

Knight heads Spearings corner inches past the post

4:11pm

What a perfect start to the second-half for Bolton as Mason runs down the right channel and wins another corner off Spurr

4:10pm

Varney heads Conway's free-kick over the crossbar

4:10pm

Davies is cautioned for a late challenge on Henley

4:09pm

Very controversial, the Rovers players surrounded the assistant referee after he awarded the goal, he was definitely not in line so it much have been a fair bit over

4:07pm

The ball works its way back to Spearing 25-yards out and he thunders an effort which cannons off the underside of the crossbar, bounces over the line (so the assistant referee says) and back out.  Referee awards a goal after 10 seconds of indecision

4:06pm

Spearing scores for Bolton!

4:06pm

Spearing hits the wall with the free-kick

4:05pm

Evans brings down Danns at the edge of the area, slightly left-sided, Spearing standing over it

4:04pm

Wanderers get the second-half underway

4:04pm

Evans and Varney are on to replace Williamson and Taylor

3:48pm

Standing ovation from the Wanderers supporters as the referee brings the first-half to an end.

3:47pm

Danns' volley was blocked and Mason hit the rebound on the turn across goal and into the bottom corner from 10-yards.  2-0 Bolton!

3:46pm

Mason doubles the lead!

3:43pm

What a chance for Mason! Spearing wins the ball in midfield and slides the striker in one-on-one with Robinson but the 'keeper guesses right and saves down to his right

3:41pm

Brilliant pressure from the Wanderers forces the ball all the way back to Robinson who is made to kick the ball out for a throw-in

3:40pm

Danns dodges two challenges at the edge of the box and unleashes a rocket that stings the palms of Robinson and Spurr is on hand to clear the danger

3:37pm

The game has gone flat since the goal with neither side creating an opening

3:36pm

Rhodes is caught offside from Kilgallon's long ball

3:35pm

Williamson catches Medo late and the Whites are awarded a free-kick

3:33pm

Danns is caught offside from Knight's long pass

3:33pm

The corner is cleared and Blackburn launch a counter-attack which results in Olsson's piledriver grazing the roof of the net

3:31pm

One-two between Baptiste and Jutkiewicz wins Bolton a corner

3:31pm

Bolton building up the right slowly with a number of consecutive throw-ins

3:28pm

Bolton keeping the ball now, switching from left to right, and back again

3:25pm

Superb running from Mason who plays the ball to Danns, he gets to the byline and checks back inside before picking out the deep run of Medo and he makes no mistake from 15-yards heading back across goal into the bottom corner!

3:24pm

Goal for Bolton and it's Medo!

3:23pm

Lowe heads away Ream's free-kick from the left

3:22pm

Brilliant work from Jutkiewicz to work the ball to Davies on the left, but he is closed down quickly and the chance fades away

3:21pm

Olsson shoots over the the crossbar from the edge of the area

3:19pm

And straight up the other end Mason challenges Robinson to win a corner, but the goalkeeper was the first to Ream's central set-piece

3:19pm

Knight's poor header played in Rhodes but Bogdan was out quickly to deny the front man from 12-yards

3:15pm

Jutkiewicz heads Baptiste's pin-point cross from the right over the crossbar

3:15pm

Jutkiewicz and Mason link up with the latter scrambling the ball straight into the hands of Robinson

3:14pm

Bogdan threw himself to his left to stop Williamson's dipping volley with two hands

3:13pm

Olsson re-enters the frame

3:13pm

Danns fouls Olsson and the defender leaves the field of play for treatment

3:12pm

And Bogdan catches Conway's deep cross at the second attempt at the other end

3:11pm

Davies dispossessed Henley in the right-back position and drove into the box before firing past Robinson but he couldn't beat Lowe, what a brilliant goal that would have been!

3:10pm

Rowe clears off the line!

3:09pm

Mason fouls Henley and gives away a cheap free-kick in the attacking third

3:07pm

Wheater heads Spearings corner wide

3:07pm

Danns deflected shot nearly looped over Robinson but the former England international did superbly to backtrack and push the ball around the post for a corner

3:05pm

Gestede is late in on Knight and receives a yellow card

3:04pm

Ream meets Spearing's corner but he fails to keep his free header down

3:04pm

Medo's strike hits the wall and goes behind for a corner

3:04pm

Ream and Medo standing over it....

3:03pm

Davies is brought down by Spur at the edge of the D, Bolton free-kick

3:02pm

And Bogdan is off his line very quickly to catch Spurr's long throw

3:02pm

Zat Knight clears the danger as Conway bursts down the left channel

3:01pm

Blackburn get the first-half underway

2:58pm

The players are heading out of the tunnel and begin their pre-match rituals

2:50pm

The Blackburn fans are in full voice already, doesn't seem like they have brought as many as usual though

2:43pm

Today's referee in Paul Tierney from Lancashire and he has never officiated a Bolton game before!

2:41pm

A little under 20 mins until kick-off

2:18pm

And his strike partner Mason has also scored two goals in two games against Rovers

2:17pm

And one from the half empty glass...

Game is lost before its even begun, with knight in there we have lost, about 75% of games he has played we have lost (this is an estimate) or not won, would have started hutton and moved baptiste across and put ream in the middle with Wheater. Hutton would have slotted in nicely and ream and wheater have played together before in the PL and did well, disappointed to see knight starting.

2:16pm

Jutkiewicz has twice scored the winning goals against Blackburn, and has three goals in three games against todays visitors

2:12pm

Some very positive posts on Hutton and the scoreline today.

I was critical of the club missing out on the last two full backs but credit where credit's due - I think Hutton is a very good loan signing. If we can keep Rhodes quiet, then I fancy we might nick it today.

2 up front and Alan Hutton propping up the back with DW. I think we can build on the result last week. I think DF has earned a third chance from myself as I can see a method to his madness during the last two weeks.

My only qualm... blinking Preston are loving the 'in form' Craig Davis. Well I hope when we bring him back that he can hit the ground running. Craig deserves his chance in the squad.

I think 3-0 is achievable today - COYWM!

MEMORABLE MATCHES

The Bolton News: David Jack

22/4/1925
Wanderers 6 Blackburn 0
First Division

HOT on the heels of Huddersfield Town and West Brom at the top of the First Division, this resounding derby victory kept the pressure on going into the final two games of the season.
David Jack, pictured, scored four on the day at Burnden Park, with Joe Smith and JR Smith getting the other two in what remains Wanderers’ biggest victory over their Lancashire rivals in 149 meetings.
Despite victory over Liverpool the next weekend, a 0-0 draw against West Brom on the final day meant a third-placed finish for Charles Foweraker’s side – equalling their highest-ever finishing position for a third and final time.

The Bolton News: Nat Lofthouse

25/4/1959
Wanderers 3 Blackburn 1
First Division

DESPITE beating their local rivals on the final day of the season, Wanderers would be denied a fourth third-placed finish in the top division by Arsenal on goal average.
Nottingham Forest won the FA Cup that season and had beaten Wanderers en route to their Wembley win over Luton at the quarter final stage.
But it had still been a successful season – capped off with Ray Parry scoring twice, once from the penalty spot, and Nat Lofthouse, pictured, taking his season tally to an incredible 35.

9:36am

FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS

The Bolton News: OFFENCES: El Hadji Diouf

El Hadji Diouf
Wanderers 2004-2008
Blackburn 2009-2011

Controversial, enigmatic but always dangerous, the Senegal international became a cult hero at the Reebok despite his indiscretions. He played 136 times for Wanderers and scored 24 goals – but won oh so many free kicks.
Blackburn snapped him up after a disappointing spell at Sunderland and while he never rediscovered the same magic for Sam Allardyce at Ewood Park, he still made nearly 70 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The Bolton News: Rovers v Toon: Scott Sellars reveals his biggest regret

Scott Sellars
Blackburn 1986-1992
Wanderers 1995-1999

Hard working Yorkshireman who wore the captain’s armband under Colin Todd and helped Wanderers back into the Premier League after relegation. His departure in the summer of 1999 proved one of the chief reasons for Todd’s resignation.
Leeds product Sellars had earlier helped Blackburn to victory in the Full Members Cup and promotion to the top flight in 1992 before moving again to Elland Road.

The Bolton News: CHALLENGE Stuart Ripley

Stuart Ripley
Wanderers 1986 (loan)
Blackburn 1992-1998

Flying winger who arrived for a short spell on loan from Middlesbrough in 1986 under Phil Neal in Division Three. He played only five games at Burnden Park but scored in a 4-0 victory over Newport County.
He would go on to have much greater success at Blackburn, where he became the club’s record signing at £2.2m before the arrival of Alan Shearer. He helped Kenny Dalglish’s men to the Premier League title in 1995 and also went on to win two England caps.

9:33am

The Bolton News: Jordan Rhodes has reportedly attracted the interest of West Ham: Action Images

ONE TO WATCH – Jordan Rhodes

It might be the most obvious statement ever but if Wanderers give Jordan Rhodes an inch, he’ll take a mile, as they found out to their cost in August at Ewood Park.
With 16 goals this season, Rhodes is currently in a barren spell by his high standards having not hit the back of the net in the last eight games.
But the Scot is at his most dangerous when you forget he is in the game – and the Whites’ makeshift back four will have to be on guard for 90 minutes to stop him hitting form again.

9:31am

TEAM NEWS FOR BLACKBURN

Rovers skipper Grant Hanley is out of the game with an ankle injury.

Gary Bowyer's side are unlikely to risk key midfielder Tom Cairney after he sustained an ankle injury in last weekend’s victory at Reading.
That will force a reshuffle in the middle of the park, with ex-Millwall man Chris Taylor likely to come into the equation.
Dickson Etuhu (ankle), Josh King (hamstring) and Ben Marshall (ankle) are all definitely out for Rovers.

9:28am

TEAM NEWS FOR WANDERERS

Dougie Freedman has confirmed that Jermaine Beckford misses out again through illness, while Matt Mills is also facing a fortnight on the sidelines with a knee strain.

Darren Pratley is ruled out with a shoulder injury picked up in last week's win over Watford but Andre Moritz has been passed fit for the Whites.

New signing Alan Hutton, wearing number three, will also be in the squad.

I'm not half empty we just lose majority of games he plays, he is too slow to keep up with Rhodes and gestede. There could be a possiblilty we could win but its slim with him playing, happy with the hutton loan, any idea how much of his wages we are paying even if it is a percentage?

I'm not a big fan of Knight these days. 10-years ago he was just okay. I am very very surprised at Hutton being on the bench. Who has the armband today? I hope Spearing.

Still predict 3-0 if the ball goes nowhere near ZK lol

Hat off to DF , the last 4 games have shown significant improvement, the pairing of Lukas Jutkiewicz and Mason seems to gel and goals are flowing, morale is up and the introduction of David Wheater has been a massive boost of confidence for the defence, he and Mills looked good together until his injury.
May it long continue as the next few fixtures will be a true test of our squad, a big slap on the back for going 442 as it seems to suit Medo Spearing with Davies and Danns bobbing around.
Keep up the well deserved good work!
