Mostly for protection but sometimes for image, plenty of footballers have donned a disguise on the pitch down the years.

Youri Djorkaeff: The Wanderers great had to cover up at Old Trafford after breaking his cheekbone playing against Maltese side Birkirkara in a pre-season friendly.
