CATTLE Market remain on course for the double following a 2-1 victory over Farnworth United in the quarter-final of the Division One Cup.

Darren Porter and Jordan Deane both scored twice as second-bottom Brindley Arms beat fourth-placed Queen Lizzy 6-4 to reach the last four of the Division Two Cup.

Lewis Porter and an own goal completed Brindley’s tally with Arron McCarthy grabbing a hat-trick and Kevin Stott getting the other for Lizzy.

In the league, Darcy Lever went goal crazy against the higher-placed Hulton Wanderers in Division One.

Danny Lever hit a hat-trick, Mitch Leece and Paul Lomax got two each and Ash Patel and Gaz Whiteside one in a 9-4 victory which saw Chris Hutchinson reply with two and Brad Colquitt and Pat Furrey one apiece for Hulton.

Greg Wood and Kieron Marsh scored in D Haviland’s 2-0 win against Mosesgate.

In Division Two, runners-up Deane sealed promotion in style with a 7-0 victory at mid-table Great Lever Wanderers.
