WANDERERS

(4-4-1-1)

ADAM BOGDAN...8 Continued his fine recent form with two second-half saves the pick of the bunch. Set the foundation for late victory.

ALAN HUTTON...7 Solid at the back and grew as an attacking threat as the game wore on.

ZAT KNIGHT...8 Led by example again from the heart of the defence and proved hard to beat on the day.

DAVID WHEATER...8 Enjoying a good partnership with Knight and helped snuff out the threat of Wells.

TIM REAM...7 Steady on the left though Huddersfield did get down the flank to get in crosses on occasion.

NEIL DANNS...7 Back from injury like he had never been away and enjoyed the more flexible midfield.

MEDO KAMARA...7 Put himself about to try and limit time on the ball for the Terriers midfield.

JAY SPEARING...8 Another fine captain’s display. Typically tenacious and two important goalline blocks.

CHUNG-YONG LEE...7 Worked hard without great reward but kept going. Unlucky to see good effort hit the post.

LIAM TROTTER...6 Not his best day as he struggled to link up midfield and attack but kept plugging away.

LUKAS JUTKIEWICZ...7 Showed just how to play the target man role as he brought others into play and took some knocks in the process.

Substitutions: Joe Mason 71 (for Trotter) – Clinical finish for the goal. One chance was all he needed..7 Jermaine Beckford 83 (for Jutkiewicz) – Looked sharp on return to old club. 6 Not used: Lonergan, Mills, Moritz, Hall, Baptiste.

STAR MAN

ADAM BOGDAN

After his late penalty save against Wigan a week earlier, it was another solid display. A handful of important saves and he deserved another clean sheet.

Huddersfield star man

DANNY WARD The former Wanderers youngster was a major threat all game and unlucky not to score. He would have done but for the woodwork and some fine Adam Bogdan saves.
