BOLTON superstar Amir Khan has teamed up with influential boxing advisor Al Haymon.

The former music mogul works with some of the top names in the sport including Floyd Mayweather – on whose card Khan fights Luis Collazo in Las Vegas on May 3. Now the former unified light-welterweight world champion has joined Mayweather, Adrien Broner and Danny Garcia under Haymon’s wing.

And it could take the 27-year-old a step closer to his target of a showdown with Mayweather.

Khan, who remains part of the US-based Golden Boy Promotions, said: “I am very happy to have signed with Al Haymon who has not only shown that he is a very astute businessman, but is extremely knowledgeable of the fight game and always has his fighters’ best interests at heart.

“I’m looking forward to building a long and successful relationship during this exciting stage of my career.”

Khan’s younger brother, Haroon, will fight his next professional bout on home turf at the Reebok Stadium’s Bolton Whites Hotel on Saturday, June 7.
