DIEHARD Birmingham City fan Jasper Carrot has made a heartfelt plea to his club’s players to “give it all they have got” against Wanderers today.
It is feared that if the Blues drop through the relegation trapdoor they could face financial meltdown.
Lee Clark’s side need to take at least a point at the Reebok and hope results elsewhere go their way.
And legendary comedian Carrot – perhaps the most famous “Bluenose” of them all – issued a special video yesterday afternoon to try to inspire the players to victory.
“The game against Bolton is probably one of the most important games in the history of Birmingham City, so no pressure lads,” said the stand-up, also known for his 1975 number one, Funky Moped. “Bolton have got their pride to play for, but you have got your pride, you have your passion and you have your skill. I have seen it all season.
“For one last game please give everything you’ve got because the fans of this club have been magnificent all season and they deserve it.
“Best of luck and I’ll be listening.”
