BOLTON Robots of Doom were on the road for the first time this season taking on Sheffield Bladerunners and returned with mixed results.
The Robots got off to a good start in game one by leading 5-1 after two innings.
But the Bladerunners took the lead 8-5 in the sixth innings.
Despite rallying, The Robots lost the first game 8-6 and entered the second determined to make amends.
With Bruce Parker on the mound, the Bladerunners were restricted to only five hits and two walk through six innings, only scoring due to a throwing error by rookie catcher Kieran O’Leary.
The Robots took advantage of this good pitching performance by scoring nine runs in the same period, effectively putting the game to bed before another six runs in the final innings saw the Robots win 15-3.
