WANDERERS are reporting no drop in season ticket sales as fans prepare for a third Championship campaign.

The club claim that close to 9,000 season tickets have been sold – figures that are consistent with those of12 months ago.

Fans are staying loyal to Wanderers despite a disappointing time last season, in which Dougie Freedman’s side won just six of their 23 games on home turf.

Prices were increased by three per cent in most areas of the ground for the 2014/15 season but renewals are on par with the same stage last summer, indicating that fans are once again digging deep to follow their team.

Crowd figures at the Reebok were down 10.5 per cent last season, with average gates falling to 16,140 from 18,034.

But the club have invested in improving the match-day atmosphere over the last 12 months and have also announced plans to revamp the North Stand Lower, which will feature a permanent tribute to the late, great commentator Dave Higson and a nod to the Burnden Park days.

Wanderers are also reporting that more than 60 per cent of supporters are choosing to purchase their ticket using the Direct Debit scheme, which was introduced in the 2011/12 campaign.
