EX-WANDERERS midfielder Steve Thompson has been appointed as the new assistant manager to Mark Robins at Huddersfield Town.
Thompson had a long spell at Blackpool and helped Ian Holloway take the Seasiders into the Premier League, twice acting as the club’s caretaker boss.
He left Bloomfield Road soon after Paul Ince was sacked in late January but is now back in football after a shake-up of the backroom staff at Huddersfield.
