. Would be a good move for him, in my humble opinion.
Wanderers have never met Watford on the opening day before - in fact, the only August meeting between the two clubs was way back in the summer of '69. There's a song in there somewhere.
It finished 0-0 by the way...

It appears that Wanderers have avoided any fixture changes in the first month. Sky have just announced their first few games.
@MarcIles never understand why they do that. Surely local games would make more sense mid-week.— @CllrPeacock 18 June 2014
@MarcIles bizarre. Or better yet, idiotic.— @WesleyBwfcHead 18 June 2014
No New Year's Day fixture as FL clubs voted against it (very close to the FA Cup third round fixture). Clubs can bring forward a game from the second half of the season if they want, with mutual agreement, though.
@MarcIles Very tough start yet again Marc !— @BallydehobWhite 18 June 2014
As Stevie Wonder once wrote, no New Year's Day to celebrate....
@MarcIles watched a few matches there— @Yantzee39 18 June 2014
@MarcIles not as tough as least season— @DecCaton 18 June 2014
Six games in April, including trips to Cardiff, Brentford and Bournemouth...
Blackburn Rovers at home on Boxing Day - have a slice of that...

Birmingham at home last day of the season again!
At first glance that's a tough start.

It's Watford away on the first day of the season.

@MarcIles We will definitely be playing football on the 1st game of the season. #Prediction— @PoonHound_ 18 June 2014
I'm going for Bournemouth at home. Don't know why - just dreamt it last night.
The fixtures are due out at 9am sharp - but first we'll have some predictions for the first game.
Good morning - it's fixtures day where all across the land football fans are waiting to map out their season and hope they don't get Ipswich away on their birthday.
