Gerrard's header plays Suarez in, great finish. Could be game over.
Sturridge nearly gets a second - placed a shot bringing a great save out of Muslera.
Johnson raids down the right and does well to ride a challenge to cross for Rooney to stab home from close range.
GET IN! GOAL England
Sturridge does well to manufacture some space on the edge of the box but his shot is easy for the keeper.
Sterling's knee makes contact with Perriera's temple - looked a sore one.
Muslera makes a save from Rooney - good work from Baines on the left.
England sliced wide open.
Cavani threads a shot wide. Should have scored.
Hart makes another fine save - Suarez's corner nearly finds the net. Is there any chance of putting someone on the near post???

@MarcIles need to go forward. Too many sideways passes. Gerrard to deep, Baines too deep.— @IanRowboti04 19 June 2014
@MarcIles and too bloody slow. Takes forever to get ball under control, passes are always behind meaning we have to go backwards.— @IanRowboti04 19 June 2014

Can England get back into it??
Sturridge sees a shot beaten away at the near post by Muslera - great run from the ex-Bolton loanee.
Cavani dinks a great cross in for Suarez, who escapes the shackles of Jagielka to head past Hart. Lovely finish - but it's a huge blow for England.
Sturridge tries his luck from 35 yards - high, wide and not very handsome.
England finishing the half well. Rooney's header the closest anyone has got.
Rooney heads against the crossbar from close range. So close.
Godin should be off - he's already on a yellow and just checked Wellbeck.
More pressure form Uruguay - Suarez's corner hit over the top by Cavani.
Suarez lofts a free kick into the danger zone but Hart does well to claim the ball.
Great backheel from Baines to find Sterling - nothing to choose between the two teams at the moment, though.
Sturridge's shot deflected over the bar - England putting the pressure on.
The ball drops invitingly for Rodriguez - he blasted a shot at goal but it sailed just over the top.
It's been a decent start for England, hasn't it?
Rooney curls a free kick round the wall but it drifts just wide. Agonisingly close.
Corner nearly catches Hart out - Suzrez curled it into his near post and forced the England keeper into a save.
Suarez gets round the outside and tries to cut a cross back. First glimpse of the Liverpool striker.
Baines nearly plays Sturridge in with a cleverly disguised ball. Uruguay keeper Muslera nearly spilled the ball too.
So Rooney keeps his place, a really attacking line-up from Roy Hodgson.
Thanks Liam - feel free to interject with some witty banter as you continue to "reasearch" the pubs and clubs of Bolton.
Right, time for me to hand over to my esteemed colleague, Bolton News football writer Marc Iles who will keep you up to date with all the action in Sao Paulo, fingers crossed all round, squeaky bum time etc etc
I also think England can do it tonight, if they go out with the same attitude as they did against the Italians, they should be too much for a weakened Uruguay, but as we have learnt over the years, they will never make it easy for us...I'm going for 2-1 with Rooney to score
This place is packed, we've got New Order's World in Motion setting us up nicely with ten minutes until the big kick off....
That's Kevin Hayes from Farnworth getting his face painted. He is also feeling very confident about England's chances tonight, he think Raheem Sterling is the man for the three lions, telling me he "absolutely loves him."
He also told me that although he has work tomorrow, if England win he may stay out and party, good lad
The fans are up for this one, just spoke to Ian Carolan from Breightmet, he said: "I'm confident, going for 2-0 with Rooney to score, the team looked good against Italy."
Carnival atmosphere in the Elephant and Castle already, loud music and full of optimistic England fans, many having a 'nerve steadier' pint.
While Marc will be bringing you updates from the on-field action tonight, I (Liam Thorp) will be soaking up the atmosphere in the town centre, where nerves are bound to be frayed.
Good evening and welcome to World Cup Live - England v Uruguay
