ELTON got back to winning ways beating Darcy Lever by 51 runs thanks to an incredible bowling performance by Alistair Lowes.

He took 9-23 to bowl out Darcy for 74 after earlier top-scoring with 31 in Elton’s total of 155.

Chris Murray also hit 23 with Chris Read and Adam Stansfield adding 20 apiece.

Nick Fawcett (4-24) and Dominic Gavin (3-43) were the pick of the Darcy bowlers.

Aaron Mullins produced the batting performance of the day as Lostock saw off Swinton Moorside by 38 runs.

The opener hit a match-winning 153 in Lostock’s total of 214.

Jonny Herreran hit 49 in reply while Sriram Krishnamurthy added 36, but their efforts proved in vain as Swinton Moorside were bowled out for 166.

There were two centuries in the game that saw Golborne beaten by Astley and Tyldesley.

Skipper and pro Jimmy Cutt led by example with 102 not out and Travis Wordsworth hit 112 as A&T posted a formidable 262-2. The visitors then had Golborne in a spin with Jordan O’Malley (5-19) and Wordsworth (3-10) skittling them for 44.

Elsewhere, table-topping Flixton showed thir ruthless streak when they bowled out Little Hulton out for 57, with Steve Hammond taking 7-22, then knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets.

Bury put pressure on the league leaders with a nine-wicket triumph over Blackrod.

Thusendra de Zoysa (58) top scored for Blackrod but they were were all out for 129, with Sam Nolan-Massey taking 3-5 and Nekoli Parris also taking three wickets.

In reply, skipper Simon Belston top-scored with an unbeaten 60 and Parris added 55 as Bury romped to victory.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Matthew McLellan-Grant was unlucky to be on the losing side for Worsley against Daisy Hill.

The youngster top-scored with 28 as Worsley were all out for 112, with Mark Atherton (5-25) impressing with the ball.

Atherton followed up with 22 with the bat while Amjid Khan added 34 as Daisy Hill won with four wickets to spare.

Walshaw hit the biggest score of the day in their victory over Standish, racing to 286-9 thanks to 97 from Darren Foy and 44 from Raki Weerasundara.

Foy was frustrated to get out three short of his century when he fell to Sam Heeley (4-80).

In reply, Joe Fielding top-scored for Standish with 53 but Gavin Nicholl (3-37) and Danny Hornby (2-17) ensured the visitors were bowled out for 184.

Adlington moved up the table after a 39-run win at Edgworth.

Majid Majeed was unbeaten on 53 as Adlington posted 179-7 and were helped when Edgworth were penalised 10 runs for a slow over-rate.

In reply, Jako Fourie (49) and Tom Fairclough (32) spearheaded Edgworth’s challenge but they came up short thanks to the bowling of Majeed (5-28), Jonathan Howells (3-21) and Tom Foster (2-36).

Elsewhere, Jamar Griffith impressed for Atherton in their seven-wicket triumph against Winton.

Mike Seenan (53) and Justin Kramersh (58) helped Winton to 188 – a score that was restricted in no small part by Griffith taking 5-66 and which Atherton eclipsed in 43 overs.
