6:16pm

BBC Radio Manchester's Jack Dearden reckons Bolton will win tonight. He's going for 2-1.

6:14pm

We'll have some score predictions in a moment. I'm going for 1-1 and Neil Danns to score the Wanderers goal.

6:03pm

So only two players in the current Wanderers squad have scored more than 10 goals for the club.

6:03pm

Leading scorers (Wanderers career)

Chung-Yong Lee 17

Mark Davies 14

Jermaine Beckford 9

Darren Pratley 6

Joe Mason 6

6:02pm

Just spotted some interesting stats in the programme too.

6:00pm

In fact, Dannsy addresses his rather unique 'do' in an interview piece in  the programme.

"I was actually getting my hair done that day so I am going to see if I can get my profile picture changed!

"The lads have given me some stick for that, I can tell you.

"I'm not a shy person though, so when it comes to making fun out of myself I can do that. I like to have a laugh and a giggle."

5:54pm

In fairness to Dannsy, no-one told him it was media/photo day. Any pictures you see in the programme of Jay Spearing will also have the skipper sporting a massive beard.

5:53pm

The Bolton News:

Neil Danns adorns the front of the programme tonight... with his big hair.

5:45pm

Team news will be coming up at around 7pm.

Medo dropped, he and Spearing in the middle aren't adventurous at home especially so not too bothered.

How many penalties have we conceded since we got relegation. Seems like its every week. That's 2 in 2 at home. Either the standard of refereeing is poorer in this league or there's something fundamentally wrong with our defending. Was bad with Coyle but not improved with Dougie. Think it could be a mix of both as a lot look soft. But Spearing's was just stupid but he never got any blame from the manager.

Absolute disgrace! 38% possession at home again! 2 shots on target, the last coming 3 mins into injury time. Another awful start to the season and nothing to suggest we will get better. The time for Dougie to go was long ago, he knows no transfer kitty equals no redundancy. Job for keeps no matter how bad he is. And he is awful.

Come on Eddie Davies, you had to do Gartsides work for him with Coyle now make the same decision and get rid of both of these now!

SOS going out to Big Sam. West Ham are taking you for a ride please come home. I really dont care about pretty football. We need someone to take control, someone who strikes fear into the players. Do you think any of these players will lose sleep tonight because I dont. We need to stop taking cast offs from Millwall and Palace, a manager who doesnt sign his mates when they are useless (Beckford) a manager who doesnt always see positives when there clearly is none, and a manager who actually has a clue about his own position from when he played. Loads of forwards been available this summer, too much emphasis got put into "we are trying our hardest to sign Juke" (Was never going to happen as long as a fee was involved and anyone who thought it was is deluded) while proven goal scorers in this division like Matty Fryatt where available for free. While most teams where getting put through their paces in pre season ours where on a PGL holiday in Denmark. Mountain biking and canoeing seriously. FREEDMAN HAS TO GO BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

Some good comments from other fans. Stating the obvious but it's fair to say we are in BIG TROUBLE.
Inept manager, tactically clueless who offers no leadership (apart from the silly hand gestures from the touchline at god knows who?). For too long now he has made poor team selections, employed incorrect tactics/formations, made weird as well as late substitutions in games - the latest by taking off our best player/forward on the night(v Boro), Craig Davies, and pushing Wheater up front to take his place.....completely baffling??

I agree. Michael Owen comes to mind as well. If you're good enough you're old enough.
Beckford will never be good enough for BWFC, neither will Trotter and surely they cannot be the future. Thomas, Clough, Wilkinson, Kellett et al ARE the future - give them their chance.

At least Huddersfield's manager as man enough to admit he wasn't up to the job. Freedman should be embarrassed to cash his paycheck, but then again, his mentor Gartside has taught him very well to ignore the fans and his conscience.
Freedman blamed to ref for the loss to Middlesbro , but ask him who was responsible for the fact that Bolton didn't have one shot on target from open play until the 93rd minute. He's a con man and if Eddie Davis REALLY loved BWFC as much as he claims, he would fire him NOW!!!!!

Put him on... David Lee says he is a proven goalscorer. Roon' ey was his age when he stepped into fame at Everton...

Jamie Thomas might as well get his chance with Zak Clough, they CANNOT be as bad as Jermaine 'Two Left Feet' Beckford.
I agree. Michael Owen comes to mind as well. If you're good enough you're old enough.
Beckford will never be good enough for BWFC, neither will Trotter and surely they cannot be the future. Thomas, Clough, Wilkinson, Kellett et al ARE the future - give them their chance.
Yes Beckford is in double figures already this season... wide, wide, wide, over... done!

The youth product seems to be showing the bigger children how it is done at a fraction of the cost. The academy and development team have some raw hungry talent that needs to get onto the REEBOK pitch... it'll never be the Macaroni.
