4:59pm

Match report to come...

4:58pm

4:58pm

All over. Leeds win 1-0.

4:58pm

Even Bogdan going up.

4:57pm

Mills fires another long ball in but Silvestri dives on it. Could be game over now.

4:56pm

Wanderers throwing everything forward now.

4:56pm

That was incredible...

4:56pm

Amazing scramble. Beckford's header saved point blank by Silvestri. Another shot by Chungy was blocked on the line by the keeper.

4:52pm

Five minutes of added time.

4:49pm

Daft.

4:48pm

Beckford hasn't endeared himself to the Bolton fans by waving at the Leeds end...

4:45pm

Beckford turns 20 yards out but his effort is off target. Time running out...

4:43pm

Medo off, Feeney on.

4:42pm

White raids down the right but gets himself in a tangle. Goal kick.

4:42pm

Time ticking away. Less than 10 mins left now.

4:39pm

Leeds - Benedicic for Sloth

Wanderers - Beckford for Davies

4:38pm

Nothing from the ref and Leeds break.

4:38pm

Calls for a pen from the Wanderers fans as Mills is pushed.

4:37pm

Really dangerous ball in. Cleared for now.

4:36pm

Another corner - Ream's shot blocked.

4:36pm

Danns gets it round the wall but Silvestri pushes it for a corner.

4:35pm

Free kick in a decent area for Wanderers first, though.

4:35pm

Beckford now coming on. Must have heard me!

4:35pm

Brew was fine. Lots of chances for Joe Mason....

4:34pm

Just under 20 minutes left. Impetus with Leeds at the moment.

4:34pm

(another) substitution.

4:33pm

Can't understand why we haven't seen a substitution yet.

4:33pm

Mason gets he ball from White, turns and shoots well over.

4:31pm

A better ball from Taylor and Mowatt would have been clean through on goal. Gaps starting to open up.

4:30pm

Antenucci sends a cross into the box - no-one there. Home crowd buzzing again.

4:30pm

Leeds just starting to probe now. Getting hold of the ball more.

4:27pm

Silvestri called upon again - palmed away Chungy's shot from the edge of the box.

4:27pm

Pearce makes another good challenge on Mason. Danns had played him in on goal.

4:24pm

21,901 here at Elland Road.

4:24pm

Can't see it being long before Beckford and/or Feeney come into this game.

4:23pm

Wanderers just exerting a bit of pressure now. Moving the ball around a bit better.

4:21pm

Foul on the keeper after the corner was swung in.

4:20pm

Davies's free kick hits the wall and skids out of play.

4:20pm

Davies fouled right on the edge of the box by Pearce. Yellow card.

4:18pm

Mills should have done better from the corner. Looked to have a free header.

4:17pm

Spearing's low shot from distance is turned away by Silvestri. Mason follows up by Belluscio gets a challenge in.

4:16pm

Charlie Taylor on for Warnock

4:12pm

Mason's shot is blocked by Pearce, who then recovers to make a second challenge on the Whites striker.

4:10pm

Think he got a boot in the shoulder. Always in the wars that one...

4:09pm

Bit of treatment for Bogdan after he rushed off his line to grab the ball from Medo.

4:07pm

Mason clips a ball in for Davies but defender gets enough on it to clear with his head.

4:07pm

Second half underway!

4:04pm

Wanderers are certainly going to have to scrap more to get into this game.

4:04pm

Davies and Bellusci certainly enjoyed an interesting tussle in the first half. Looked to have carried on down the tunnel.

3:49pm

Half time - Wanderers ahead on chances, but Leeds on goals. Know where I'd rather be.

3:49pm

Great ball from Danns to find Mason - he didn't have a lot to aim at but drove a shot to the near post, blocked by Sivestri.

3:47pm

Good run from Sharp - his shot skims the top of the bar as the half goes into added time.

3:46pm

Good run from White on the right but Chungy makes a mistake in possession and Wanderers are back on the retreat.

3:45pm

"Freedman sort it out" comes the cry from the crowd. Danns back up and running, thankfully.

3:45pm

Hope this isn't a bad injury, that is...

3:44pm

Hope this isn't a bad one.

3:44pm

Bad tackle from Wooton on Danns. Scream of pain from the Wanderers midfielder as he hit the deck.

3:42pm

Silvestri to the rescue for Leeds again, blocking Mason's effort after he had wrestled his way past Pearce. At the other end, Mills had put in a cracking challenge to half-block Mowatt's blast at goal.

3:40pm

So we know Phil Gartside and Eddie Davies (and Brett Warbuton) are watching this one. Penny for their thoughts?

Better service than my photographers!

3:39pm

It has been another "tight game" to use the manager's terminology. Again, Wanderers find themselves "on the wrong side" to use another...

3:38pm

White lofts an aimless cross in to Silvestri. But for that early chance pushed on to the bar for Mason, Wanderers haven't created much.

3:36pm

3:28pm Sat 30 Aug 14

Armitage93 says

With Gartside and Davies watching, there's something slightly ironic about that goal. The scorer, someone that helped us greatly push on and almost make the promos land. The opponent, someone who's descent from promise is happening at its highest ever rate.

Come on Bolton fight and bring it back.

Is that a confirmed sighting of Phil and Eddie??

3:35pm

Bianchi and Wooton combine on the right and Antenucci's flicked header is plucked from the air by Bogdan.

3:35pm

3:34pm

Leeds win another corner on the right. Everthing but the goal has been down Ream's side.

3:33pm

Leeds playing the ball around nicely. Considering the turmoil, Neil Redfearn will be delighted.

3:32pm

It's all very deep for Wanderers too - everyone seems to be camped in the first third of the pitch.

3:32pm

Mason had that early chance but we've hardly seen him.

3:31pm

Wanderers just not able to get anything moving in midfield. Davies is getting hold of the ball when it's played up to him but there isn't much after that.

3:29pm

Davies manufactures a little bit of space to strike at goal but it's wide.

3:27pm

Leeds passing and moving in midfield in a way Wanderers haven't all season. Little Lewis Cook looks a decent player.

3:26pm

About 25 minutes in and I think that's the first time Chung-Yong Lee has got the ball.

3:26pm

Meanwhile, Leeds clear the corner. Chungy plays a ball in defending well by Pearce and the second cross by Dervite is collected by the keeper.

3:25pm

They certainly like Beckford here. Still chanting his name.

Andy Hughes also getting a warm round of applause.

3:24pm

Danns tries his luck from 25 yards bit it takes a nick off a Leeds defender for a corner.

3:21pm

Ref Simon Hooper has a word with Ream after he brings down Sloth.

3:20pm

The former Whites loanee played in by Billy Sharp on the left. It was good football by Leeds on the edge of the box. Antenucci and Bianchi also involved.

3:19pm

It's Stephen Wanock who drills a shot/cross inside the far post.

3:19pm

GOAL Leeds!

3:18pm

Casper Sloth lifts a shot over the bar from the edge of the box.

3:17pm

Beckford gives the Leeds fans a wave... not terribly advisable in front of the Wanderers fans.

3:14pm

Spearing played a great ball through - Mason beat Pearce for pace but it was a great save from the keeper.

3:14pm

Silvestri pushes Mason's shot on to the crossbar.

3:12pm

Half chance for Wanderers as Feeney and Davies get some space on the left. All withers away a little after a poor pass from Spearing.

3:10pm

Wheater limping off. Didn't see much in the original challenge he made other than perhaps over-stretching. Early blow for Wanderers.

3:09pm

Wheater coming off here. Dervite on.

3:08pm

Davies gets round the outside of Bellusci but the Italian makes a late challenge to stop him getting in on goal. Should have been a corner for me.

3:06pm

Little scramble in the box but Wanderers get it clear.

3:06pm

Antenucci wins a corner for Leeds. Came about because of a poor throw on Wanderers' left.

3:04pm

Giant staircase to my right, obscuring my view of the right side of the pitch. Ball is over there at the moment, so I'll twiddle my thumbs.

3:03pm

We're off. Mason definitely dropping deeper behind Davies.

3:02pm

3:01pm

If they are anywhere near as good as last year, we should be OK.

3:01pm

But all that could be about to change. Who knows!

3:01pm

Marching on Together blaring out at the moment. Wanderers have been rather limping along so far this season...

So let me get this right, DF quote, "Beckford is an out and out goal scorer." This after he scores 2 goals in his previous game then promptly drops him ! Makes sense to me Dougie lad !

2:55pm

A reminder of a special match tomorrow involving a lot of the White Hot players at Daisy Hill FC tomorrow. Noon start.

John McGinlay, Phil Brown, Mark Patterson, Tony Kelly, Keith Branagan, Aidan Davison, Alan Thompson, David Lee, Nicky Spooner, Alan Stubbs all scheduled to play.

Our Bolton News cameras will be there too.

2:52pm

Wanderers could certainly do with raising the mood heaidng into the international break.

Sat in the away end at Elland road. Let's hope we dig a win out. This is a massive game for both clubs. So early in the season too. The result here will either kick start our season or get dougie the sack!

2:48pm

Sat with John McGinlay and Andy Walker in the press room, both swapping footy stories. Great fun.

2:45pm

The only suggestion I'd give on Beckford not playing today was that he did go through 120 mins the other night. But does seem an odd one.

2:45pm

2:35pm Sat 30 Aug 14

North East Paul says

I agree with Armitage93, why oh why leave a striker out who has just scored twice in our last game?

2:42pm

Andy Hughes' inclusion on the bench hasn't gone down well with the Wanderers fans. Few bodies out - McNaughton, Moxey, M Davies etc, but a surprising decision perhaps.

Massive call from Dougie to leave out Beckford, Pratley and Feeney given their huge impact on the last game. Mason hasn't been fantastic recently and I am very surprised he didn't opt with Beckford instead. Both came off the bench and the one who didn't score 2 goals has started... Hoping for the best but one can't help but wonder, given current circumstances, Dougie will do or die by this decision....

Come on whites!

No Beckford against his former team. Having just scored twice in midweek too. If this proves a wrong decision by Dougie surely Gartside and Davies will give him the sack during the international break.

2:27pm

2:24pm

So, what do we think? Can Wanderers get their first win of the season today?

2:10pm

Leeds: Silvestri, Wootton, Bellusci, Pearce, Warnock, Cook, Mowatt, Bianchi, Sloth, Sharp, Antenucci

2:05pm

Team today - Bogdan; White, Mills, Wheater, Ream; Medo, Spearing, Danns, Chungy-Yong, Mason, C Davies.

Subs: Lonergan, Dervite, Pratley, Hughes, Hall, Feeney, Beckford.

1:52pm

With the international break looming, it would be a long old fortnight if the Whites were to lose this one.

1:48pm

Good afternoon and welcome to Matchday Live - a big one for Wanderers.

Dougie not covering himself in glory, when really, he needs to. Mason missing countless chances, yet Beckford still not on after 73 minutes, after scoring in mid week. Feeney played well; still he is not on the pitch.

I fear for Mr Freedman ager this, I really do. He has done well in a period of austerity for us; helping us manage the books, whilst at times, giving us glimmers of reasons to be optimistic. However ultimately, his stubbornness with this system and lack of faith in players, who can perform, seems to be achilles heel. Hope the lads prove me wrong here, but we seem toothless.

Freedman has been guilty all season of leaving it too late to make any changes.

With an international break and 2 winnable games coming up, you can help but wonder whether Davies will be forced into action. We need positives, and at the minute its negative after negative. He wouldn't be at this game for no reason, and with a defeat looming, it looks the end for Mr Freedman.

If that is the case, we need a fast, effective and positive response to help us shoot up the table. It isn't too late

Apparently we've made big improvements on last season. Well it was 1-5 last season and 1-0 this. And we went 10 without a win, which set a new record and I think we may be able to smash that record this season.

We will go down with Freedman, listen to the fans! Incidentally I don't think relegation is the worst thing in the world. Look at Wolves, Norwich, Southampton, Man city. All bounced back but with Freedman we'll go down and stay down albeit with a great bunch on individuals who never question him!

Please, let this be his last match. Not moved from bottom 3, negative goal difference(obviously

I feared an odd goal defeat because it will give Gartside the excuse to persevere with Freedman for another few weeks. Having failed to win or even draw it would have been much better for the long term future of the club if we had been hammered. Persisting with Freedman is not even papering over the cracks, because the house is falling down, and radical action is needed now.

I agree but I don't they care about the fans in the slightest. Why are the chairman and manager still being paid their ridiculous salaries. We should have ffp for them. Mcginlay says he should go!

what kind of tactical genius leaves out a striker who is facing his old club having just scored 2 goals in midweek!!!!!
Have you heard of form players Freedman?!!!
Also, Mark Davies???? Pinning all our hopes on a bloke who can't play more than 15 games a season.
Freedman must go & preferably in the same taxi as Gartside!!

What price on them rolling out Stuart Holden fit before Christmas again to try and appease the few remaining fans who can't see what's going on at our once proud club.

Re - beckford - I was at the game today and I along with many others was upset that beckford acknowledged the Leeds fans singing his name - he was out of order and it was an insult to those Bolton fans who had paid good money to be there.
I have no problem with any wanderers player acknowledging a former clubs fans before or after the game . I would have accepted beckford not celebrating a goal today out of respect to his former club / fans.

But to do what he did during the match with us 1/0 down chasing a equiliser with 10-15 mins left , and then to miss a couple of chances shortly after leads me to question his integrity. Did he miss in order to stay popular with his Leeds fans behind the goal ?? We will never know ??

Speaking with a Leeds fan before the game she told us beckford had said he would never score for any other team at ellland road.Another after the game said he was subbed whilst playing for Leicester for saluting the Leeds fans. Dougie should have done the same today.

Sadly, Gartside is very satisfied with those 10.000 season ticket holders therefore those fans who want change can go and run thank you very much (Gartside speaking)
