LEE Toone went to great lengths to raise money for his club’s funds and its ladies’ water polo team.
The Tyldesley Swimming and Water Polo Club member swam the 10-and-and-a-half-mile stretch of Lake Windermere to continue his fundraising activities.
Lee, who has so far raised more than £1,000 for the club, took nearly six hours to complete his marathon effort.
The water polo team play in Division Two of the British Water Polo League.
He was accompanied in the venture by Adam Toone and Dennis Price in a rowing boat, which was some achievement in itself.
