NETBALL sessions are being run around Bolton to try to encourage more young people to take up the sport.
Bolton Sport and Active Living Services are staging a number of satellite events around the town and the first one is taking place at Bolton College tomorrow night between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
They will run every Wednesday night and cost £1 per session and they are open to 14-19-year-olds.
A spokesman for the event said: "Netball is thriving in this area with the BSF winter and summer leagues and there are lots of teams competing but we need to be getting a new generation of players to keep the sport going.
"It is played in schools but we are offering these sessions to get more people involved.
"We are hoping lots of young people in this age-bracket will be interested in playing regularly."
