CHRIS Eagles could make a dramatic debut for Blackpool against Wanderers this weekend after earning a short-term deal at Bloomfield Road.
The former Whites winger has earned a contract until January with the Seasiders after training with them for the past week and featuring in a behind-closed-doors friendly against another of his former clubs, Manchester United, yesterday.
Eagles had been training with Millwall up until recently but opted against signing a contract with Ian Holloway’s side to return to the North West.
And after proving his fitness – which was maintained over the summer whilst training at a Manchester boxing gym – new Blackpool boss Lee Clark offered him a chance to prove himself again in the Championship.
“I've got to do what I love to do best, and that is to excite the crowd, score and create. What I've seen of the club and staff so far has been brilliant,” he told his new club.
“I'm chomping at the bit. I've obviously played against Blackpool before, the fans are brilliant with the drum at home, so I'll be looking forward to that.”
