NEIL Lennon has warned Wanderers not to read anything into Blackpool’s lowly league position when the two sides meet at Bloomfield Road.

The Whites boss has concerns the international break may have dulled his side’s sharpness and has challenged players to prove otherwise in tomorrow afternoon’s Lancashire derby.

Chung-Yong Lee, Adam Bogdan and Tim Ream returned from international duty on Wednesday, while Medo Kamara will join-up with his team-mates this morning.

Darren Pratley is also back from suspension, giving Lennon a full complement of players for the short trip to face the Championship’s bottom club.

But the Northern Irishman is interested to see whether his players can maintain the levels they showed before the international break when they won back-to-back games against Cardiff and Wigan to climb out of the bottom three.

“You worry about it but we’ll see how they react Saturday,” he told The Bolton News.

“I hope those results have shown them that they can compete against the best teams in this division, I hope that no words are necessary on my part.

“I am hoping we can pick up where we left off but I do have to pay respect to Blackpool as well. I know they are in a bad position but they have given every team they have played a hard time.”

Medo is unlikely to feature after joining up from African Nations Cup duty with Sierra Leone – and Lennon admits the midfielder will have to work hard to get into his plans.

“He just hasn’t had the opportunity,” he said. “He came back from international duty more or less the first week I was here and I think he needs a bit of conditioning work to get him up to speed with the rest.”

Medo has played just six games this season, the last of which was against Chelsea in the Captial One Cup.
