KEVIN Davies has announced his long-awaited testimonial will take place next summer.
A game will be played between a team of ex-Wanderers team-mates, currently set to include the likes of Stelios, Ivan Campo, Anthony Barness, Henrik Pedersen and Nicky Hunt and celebrities, which will include Vernon Kay, Anthony Cotton and Ralf Little.
It is not yet know whether the first team will also play on the same day, with pre-season details yet to be confirmed.
The two dates currently pencilled in for the fixture are July 31 and August 1.
Davies, now at Preston North End, spent nearly 10 years at Wanderers before leaving the club in the summer of 2013.
He racked up more than 400 appearances for the club, more than 300 in the league, and scored 84 goals in all competitions.
