NEIL Lennon hopes his nomination as November’s manager of the month is the first of many.

The Wanderers boss is up for the award with Brentford’s Mark Warburton, Ipswich Town’s Mick McCarthy and Birmingham City’s Gary Rowett.

“I am in there with good managers,” he told The Bolton News. “I just hope I am in the running every month because if I am we will be there or thereabouts. It is a reflection not on me but how the team has played.”

Lennon scooped an incredible 10 monthly and three annual managerial awards whilst in charge of Celtic but was delighted to hear of his first nomination since taking a job south of the border.

“I have got a few door stoppers and book ends. It may not mean a lot in the big scheme of things but it is a reminder of how things can go well for you."
