I’M sad to see my former team-mate Chung-Yong Lee looks like he’ll be leaving Wanderers – he’s one of the most under-rated players I’ve ever seen.

To think what he went through, coming back from a major injury and still performing at the highest level. And not only that, every time he crosses that white line for the club he’s given everything he’s got.

I say thanks for the great memories Chungy and good luck with the rest of your career.

This weekend Neil Lennon takes his men to Hillsborough to face a tough Sheffield Wednesday team who have looked in tune just recently.

They are having a great season so far, unbeaten in three, and very strong defensively. They are compact and quite happy to win a game 1-0 just so long as the team does their job on the pitch.

It is a different challenge for Wanderers as first of all they are going to have to compete physically. They will need to be really strong at set pieces and then try to let their technical ability shine through.

The team is unbeaten this year but this will be a game in which the big players need to stand tall and grind out a result. It’s important to start on the front foot and not to give away cheap free kicks or corners, as this will just heap added pressure on.

We certainly can’t afford to start the game in the same way as we did against Leeds United, which left the team chasing a result.

Emile Heskey, Matt Mills, Liam Trotter, Eidur Gudjohnsen – they will all need to win those individual battles and then try and take the game to them.

Sheffield Wednesday remind me of Stoke City under Tony Pulis because we knew exactly what we were up against. If we defended, we knew we had a chance and this applies Saturday.

The transfer window is open and I know the financial situation is a little complicated but I hope Lennon can bring in one or two extra bodies because it will make all the difference in breaking through to the top half of the league table.
