HERE’S your chance to have your say in the debate over the proposed Greater Manchester Cricket League.

Discussions are ongoing to create a multi-division Premier League covering all areas around Greater Manchester, including Bolton.

It could potentially be the biggest revolution in local cricket in our town for more than a century.

And now anyone who wants to have their say on the matter can do so.

Details of how to contact us and what you should include in your email or letter are at the end of this story.

If it goes ahead the GM League could mean the Bolton Association and the Bolton League going out of existence along with eight other leagues in the area.

The idea is on the same lines as a number of other Premier Leagues around the country and would introduce promotion and relegation throughout as many as possibly 10 divisions.

It has been met with contrasting opinions with some believing it would be an exciting innovation which would dramatically improve local cricket. Others believe it could not work and would damage the amateur game, while others simply welcome a discussion they believe is long overdue and are happy to await further developments before making up their minds.

The Bolton News has been at the forefront of the coverage of the story, covering each development and running opinion pieces on it since November, both online and in paper.

Some have been critical of others' views expressed in these articles. So here’s your chance to have your say.

Don’t sit back and moan about what others are saying, come forward and give your view, your observation or simply a point you would like to make.
