WANDERERS manager Neil Lennon insists he remains committed to the club despite speculation linking him with a return to Leicester City.

Uncertainty surrounding the future of Leicester boss Nigel Pearson on Sunday night saw former Foxes midfielder Lennon’s name mentioned as a possible replacement.

Pearson remains in his post after clarification by Leicester but Lennon says his sole focus remains on his job at the Macron Stadium anyway and dismissed talk of a move away less than six months into the job.

He told The Bolton News: “I haven't got a clue what is happening at Leicester. I only heard the radio and was oblivious to all the news.

“They have got a very good manager there.

“It's been a difficult season but you expect that having been promoted. So, I have no idea what is going on and I can't comment on it anyway.

“You may say Leicester is a club close to my heart, but Bolton is a club close to my heart.

“I have got a big job on here and I just want to concentrate on that. There is very little I can say on speculation and rumour.”

Lennon’s odds for the Leicester job were slashed when rumours of Pearson’s exit surfaced but he says it was a first for him to be linked with a job that wasn’t there.

He added: “It is definitely a new one being linked with a job that's

not there.

“It wasn't me betting on it, I like to keep my money."
