NOTTINGHAM Forest have been dealt a blow ahead of Saturday's home clash against Wanderers with defender Jack Hobbs ruled out through injury.

The former Liverpool and Leicester man is expected to be sidelined for up to a month after picking up a hamstring injury in the first half of Saturday's 4-4 draw at bottom-club Blackpool.

It is another blow for new Forest boss Dougie Freedman who has also lost star striker Britt Assombalonga for the rest of the campaign with a dislocated knee.

But, as he prepares to face Wanderers for the first time since his exit in October, Freedman does have Kelvin Wilson and Michael Mancienne on the way back from injury to bolster his defensive ranks.

Freedman said: "Jack will be out for three or four weeks.

"But Kelvin Wilson is back in training, so that is a position we are ok with."
