WHENEVER you face a former colleague in any game it is always an opportunity to try to defeat an old friend or manager.

I am sure all the players would relish the chance to get one over Dougie Freedman tomorrow, especially the fringe players who are now regular and are doing well.

However, Bolton’s away form this season has not been good enough due to a poor start in most of the games. That is something Neil Lennon needs to address in order to move forward next season.

On the other hand Nottingham Forest have had their issues as well. After a great start to the season, the performances have gone downhill and players have not been able to cope with the pressure of being at the top end of the league.

This led to the manager being sacked and injuries to key players has also been a factor as to why they have not been able to show the level of consistency they had at the beginning of the season.

Britt Assombalonga has been a threat since his move from Peterborough, but he is injured now and as a result other players need to step up and deliver.

Bolton’s main focus from now until the end of the season is to finish in the top half of the table and build on that for next season. This game surely gives us a huge a chance to do that.

It is clear that Dougie Freedman is a very defensive-minded manager and this game needs attackers to unlock their backline.

Bolton need to start the game on the front foot. They are easy to play against away and that has to stop because the Championship is a league that requires players to be physically and mentally strong.

Getting one over on your old boss could be a huge motivation for this weekend as long as the boys start the game sharply and do not concede early goals.
