WANDERERS fans made their own entertainment in last night’s game against Charlton Athletic – creating the Macron Stadium’s first-ever flash mob.
Supporters in all four stands shone lights from their mobile phones midway through the second half, creating a “starlight” effect which briefly took the attention from events on the pitch.
Our news editor Steven Thompson grabbed this video of the phenomenon.
It added a bit of sparkle to Wanderers, too, with Adam Le Fondre going on to grab an equaliser a few minutes after the lights began to shine.
The phenomenon has become popular at night games around the Football League, and Bolton fans may have first witnessed it in the recent clash with Blackburn Rovers.
