TIM Ream has been named in the USA’s preliminary roster for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Wanderers defender, who was not in Jurgen Klinsmann’s squad for recent friendly victories over the Netherlands and Germany, has been included in an initial 35 man-party, which will be whittled down to 23 for the tournament, which starts on July 7.

Ream’s big chance to impress could come against Guatemala, with a friendly pencilled in for early July in Nashville.
