ANDY Lonergan is on the verge of a move to Championship rivals Fulham, The Bolton News understands.

The 31-year-old keeper was one of the highest-profile players released by Wanderers this summer.

Lonergan made 62 appearances in all competitions for the Whites, including 32 last season, but was allowed to leave as part of the club’s continuing attempts to curb costs.

He spent three years at Bolton after being signed from Leeds United by former Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.
