BROTHERS Chris and Matt Norvall starred for Swinton Moorside as they stormed to victory against Little Hulton.

Chris Norvall (98) fell two runs short of his first ever career century and Jamie McDougall (68) and Tom Hughes (30 not out) also scored high as Swinton posted the highest score of the day with 293-7.

Mark Penny (115) hit a century in reply, but Matt Norvall picked up the ball and took 4-45, which along with Brad Palmer’s 3-51 dismissed Little Hulton for 187.

And there was a similar family feeling at Flixton too, as brothers Ashley and Luke Perry scored high in their narrow win against Standish.

Ashley Perry scored 88no and Luke weighed in with 35 to post an impressive total of 223-9. Israr Ul Haq did most of the damage with the ball taking 5-47.

Skipper Sam Heeley continued his recent impressive form hitting 98no and Luke Kennedy added 23 but it wasn’t enough to reach the target as deputy professional Imranullah Aslam (4-64) and Connor De’Ath (3-42) had them dismissed for 210.

Elsewhere, Iain Critchley’s half-century inspired Adlington to victory against Lostock.

Critchley stuck 52 and professional Majid Majeed added 48 as Adlington finished on 191-9. Rob Holgate took majority of the wickets posting bowling figures of 6-56.

Matthew Leach (41) and Simon Hanson (24) put on a 65-run partnership, but that was the best that Lostock could muster as the bowling attack of Critchley (4-31), Majeed (3-43) and Jon Howells (3-37) – aided by wicketkeeper Zak Millington who took four catches – dismissed Lostock for 132.

Daisy Hill picked up their third win of the season away to Atherton.

Adil Ali scored 75no and Mike Chilton added 68 as the St James Street outfit set their hosts a target of 215-4.

Wicketkeeper Ian Nuttall top-scored with 20 in reply as Atherton fizzled out for 142. Daniel Robinson was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-37.
