WANDERERS have shelved plans to face Chievo Verona for their final pre-season friendly, and will now line-up against Championship rivals Charlton Athletic on Friday, July 31.

Logistical problems have been blamed for the Italians pulling out of the game – the only home fixture planned before the big kick-off against Derby County.

Charlton were also due to face Chievo the following day, with both sides agreeing to fill the void by facing each other. The kick-off will remain at 8pm.

Meanwhile, Wanderers have confirmed the signings of Jordan Lussey and Jon Ceberio.

Lussey was released by Liverpool at the end of last season and spent the last few months of the campaign on loan at the Macron Stadium. The 20-year-old signs a 12 month deal and will work initially with Iain Brunskill in the development squad.

Spanish midfielder Ceberio, a product of the Real Sociedad youth system, has impressed after a brief trial and signs a one-year deal. He will also work with the Under-21s for the time being.
