BOLTON Association clubs will not be attending a meeting with their executive committee tonight.

The nine clubs were due to meet with the league's officials to discuss the administrative processes of winding up the Association and their clubs crossing over to the expanded Bolton League for next season.

Most of the clubs did not feel the meeting was necessary as they had already committed themselves to the Bolton League while others said they could not attend.

The executive committee felt they had no choice but to cancel the meeting but they will still meet at Adlington to discuss the procedures which need to be followed to end the league correctly.

The clubs are understood to be happy with the way the Bolton League are integrating them into the new league.

Association chairman Frank Jackson said: "The executive committee will still be meeting tonight because there is only one more league meeting between now and the end of the season and there are a lot of major decisions to be made before the end of the season and leading up to the AGM."
