WOLVES boss Kenny Jackett reckons Wanderers-bound Rajiv van la Parra is desperate to make an impact at the Macron Stadium.

The Dutch winger will sign a one-month loan deal next week to add some pace to the squad bound for Reading.

And after struggling to usurp the in-form James Henry at Molineux this season, Jackett believes Bolton are signing a player looking to prove a point.

"I've asked Rajiv what he wants to do – he wants to take the opportunity to go and play some games, that’s his choice,” he said.

“We need to make space and for Rajiv he wants to go to Bolton. He just wants to play games.”

Jackett also hinted that an extended deal would be considered if Van la Parra impresses.

Wolves signed youngster Nathan Byrne on transfer deadline day from Swindon Town when Van la Parra looked destined to land a move to Leeds United.

And with five loans already on the books, Jackett could be looking to trim his squad in January to add more balance to his attack.

“We’re stocked up on natural wide right players and our options down the left aren’t as high,” he said. “Perhaps that’s something going forward we have to address.”
